Andrea created The Compassion Advantage™ framework because she lived what you’re living.

She climbed to the top of academia—tenure-track professor and program co-chair at a prestigious research university by age 35—through sheer force of will and an absolutely brutal inner critic. She pushed through exhaustion. She said yes to everything. She held herself to impossible standards.

And then she burned out.

Walking away from her dream job was the wake-up call that changed everything. She realized that the strategies that got her there—the relentless self-criticism, the perfectionism, the inability to rest, and the disconnection between mind, body, and spirit—were the same ones destroying her. And she knew she wasn’t alone.

Now, as an organizational consultant, coach, keynote speaker, and author of The Compassion Advantage, Andrea helps leaders break the cycle she knows intimately. Her work is grounded in neuroscience, informed by trauma research, and enlightened by spiritual and wisdom traditions. And it’s delivered with the kind of warmth, authenticity, depth, and straight-talk that only comes from someone who’s walked through the fire. She doesn’t do preachy platitudes or generic fixes. She does real relationships, deep listening, honest dialogue, and practical tools, backed by science—all delivered with warmth and transformation that actually lasts.

McCall Dubbelman

McCall specializes in helping leaders who feel stuck—stuck in anxiety, stuck in patterns that aren’t working, stuck between who they are and who they’re supposed to be.

With over 20 years of experience in positive and workplace psychology, McCall brings a unique combination of expertise: a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, a Master’s Degree in Theological Studies, and deep training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).

She helps clients “unhook” from the negative thought loops and avoidance patterns that keep them trapped, and reconnect with the values that make leadership (and life) meaningful.

As a Compassionate Leadership Coach mentored by Andrea, McCall brings both warmth and precision to the work. She’ll help you see what you can’t see on your own—and do what you haven’t been able to do alone.

Questions You’re Probably Asking

Isn't self-compassion just making excuses for myself?

No. Self-compassion is being honest with yourself instead of performing or pretending. It’s acknowledging when you’re struggling instead of white-knuckling through it. It’s treating yourself like a valuable human being instead of a machine that should just work harder.

Being “soft” is ignoring problems. Self-compassion is addressing them without self-destruction. There’s a massive difference.
